Lidocaine

This is a local anesthetic that is applied topically and that works by blocking nerve signals in your body to reduce pain. It can be used for conditions such as sunburns, insect bites, minor cuts and scrapes, and more.

Ropivacaine

This is a long-acting local anesthetic that can be used as a spinal block or epidural. Unlike Lidocaine which is administered topically, Ropivacaine is administered via an injection.

Bupivacaine

This is used as a local anesthetic that is given as an epidural injection into the spinal column to produce numbness. Although similar solutions, Bupivacaine is more potent then Ropivacaine.
